ｍａｉｎ ｓｔｏｒｙｌｉｎｅ

ɢɪᴏᴠᴀɴɴɪ sᴀᴋᴀᴋɪ is the esteemed gym leader of ᴠɪʀɪᴅɪᴀɴ ᴄɪᴛʏ, specializing in ground-type Pokémon. He gives those who manage to defeat him the ᴇᴀʀᴛʜ ʙᴀᴅɢᴇ, as proof of their mastery as a Pokémon trainer and their eligibility to challenge the Pokémon League. Giovanni holds his leader title with pride, and does not intend on losing easily.

However, his status among the public is merely a ғᴀᴄᴀᴅᴇ to hide his true nature. The real Giovanni is the boss of ᴛᴇᴀᴍ ʀᴏᴄᴋᴇᴛ, an infamous criminal organization deeply rooted within Kanto and is currently bleeding into Johto. His goal is to take over the world, using Pokémon to do so. Completely elusive to Interpol, Giovanni's organization has spread rapidly as a result, taking over ᴄᴇʟᴀᴅᴏɴ ᴄɪᴛʏ and sɪʟᴘʜ ᴄᴏ. as a result. In a deal with the Silph President, he intends to wield a new contraption known as the ᴍᴀsᴛᴇʀ ʙᴀʟʟ, to capture a powerful Legendary Pokémon and force it to bend to his will, conquering the world using the beast.
